FLORA E. BUSS Peacefully, with her family at her side, Flo passed away on February 20, 2007, at the Tuxedo Villa Personal Care Home after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was 85 years old. She will be lovingly remembered by George, her husband of 51 years; daughter Beverley Riopel (François); three grandchildren, Jeff (Lily), Christopher, and Chantal; brother Ted Aguesse; sister-in-law Irene Freedman, three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Flo was predeceased by her parents, Marie-Thérèse and Alexandre Aguesse; sister Alice (Emile Péloquin), and her brothers, Louis, Bill and George. Flo was born in Santa Rosa, Florida on August 14, 1921 and returned later with her family to Deerhorn, MB. Later, she came to Winnipeg with her sister Alice where they began a career in hairdressing. Later, she and George worked side by side for 35 years in their beauty salon business and other business ventures. Upon their retirement, Mom spent many wonderful years tending to her garden on their property in Lilyfield. In 1978, Mom came out of retirement to work with Beverley in her beauty salon until she was 75. Never a person to say no, Mom was always there to help her family and friends, even when the devastating signs of Alzheimer's disease were already showing their effect on her. We will miss her more than mere words can express. The family extends its heartfelt thanks to the staff at Tuxedo Villa Personal Care Home for their compassionate care. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 24, at 1:30 p.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Avenue, Aubrey Street entrance. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society in Flo's memory or a charity of your choice. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200 nbardal.mb.ca
