Date of Passing: Feb 19, 2007
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMAURICE (MOE) CNOCKAERT It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, father, grandfather and papa, Maurice (Moe), on Monday, February 19, 2007. Dad was predeceased by the love of his life Mel in 2004, and his father Jerome in 1952. He leaves to mourn his mother Mary; his children, Donna-Rae and Brian; Donald and Barbs; Shawn and Dale; his grandchildren, Jeff and Michelle; Joel and Julie and Shantelle and Jeff; his great-grandchildren, Noah, Zachary, Cassidy, Hannah, Coen, Evan. He will also be missed by his sisters, Irene (Herb), Margaret, Doreen (Bob), Denise (Wes), Judy and Jane (Bill), and his brother Ron (Darlene) as well as numerous special nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends. Moe worked at Westeel-Rosco from the age of 16 until his retirement at the age of 57. He still maintained the friendships created with his co-workers who remained lifelong buddies. He spent many cherished hours at his trailer where he would hunt, fish, and garden. Friends and family were always most welcome there. Dad also loved playing cards, dancing, and watching Hockey Night in Canada surrounded by his family. Dad's winters revolved around curling and it is only fitting that one of his last moments was spent in the hack. In keeping with dad's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of his life will be held on Friday, February 23 at 11:00 a.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in memory of Maurice may be made to the CNIB or to L'Arche Winnipeg Inc. It gives us comfort to know that you are back in mom's arms, Till we meet again. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E.J. COUTU CO. FUNERAL DIRECTORS 680 Archibald St. 253-5086
