Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPAULINE URBANOWICH After a battle with cancer, Pauline Urbanowich passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2007. Pauline was born in Poland in 1924 and immigrated to Canada when she was six years old. She was predeceased by her son Jimmy, daughter Sherry, and husband John, to whom she had been married for 62 years. She is survived by, and will be dearly missed by her daughters, Eleanor, Marilynn and her husband Doug; son Rick and his wife Hilda, and grandchildren, Krista, Ryan, Carla and Chris. Pauline became one of Jehovah's Witnesses in the 1940s and was active in her worship of God until her death. Her hope of a resurrection of the dead to perfect health on a paradise earth under the rule of Christ Jesus sustained her during her declining health which she faced with courage and a positive spirit. She enjoyed gardening and knitting and she will be especially remembered for her pleasant, easygoing personality which made her a pleasure to be around. Her last month was spent in the Grace Hospice where she received wonderful care. The family would like to offer special thanks to everyone who had a share in caring for Pauline in the Grace Hospice as well as her sister Nell and husband Corky and the many dear friends who spent time visiting her and supporting her and her family. A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1060 Wolever Ave. on Friday, February 23 at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Watchtower Society of Canada in support of its many charitable activities.
