Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSEMARY SCOTT LEARMONTH Rosemary passed away suddenly at St. Boniface Hospital on Tuesday, February 20, 2007. She was predeceased by her parents; her sister Jean Learmonth; sister Betty McEwan; nephew Matthew Clincke, and nephew David McEwan. She is survived by her brother Donald Learmonth; sister Alison Clincke (Lucian); nephew Mark Clincke (Kathy), and their children, Karen and Steven; brother-in-law Wally McEwan and nieces, Megan Hutton and Jennifer McEwan. Rosemary was born in Toronto on September 17, 1926. Her father was Factor for the Hudson's Bay Company and the family lived at various Hudson's Bay Company posts in Manitoba and Ontario until 1938 when they moved to Winnipeg. In 1957 Rosemary joined the Department of External Affairs in Ottawa and served at Canadian Embassies in Germany, Japan, Vietnam (during the Vietnam War), Ceylon, Trinidad and Tobago and Pakistan before returning to Ottawa where she worked until her retirement. She then returned to Winnipeg to be with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. At Rosemary's request, cremation has taken place and no service will be held.
