WILLIAM OERTEL Peacefully on Monday, February 19, 2007, William, age 79, passed away at Victoria Hospital with family members at his bedside. He was predeceased by all his siblings in Germany with the exception of his youngest sister Liesl (Horst) Bensch. Left to lovingly remember him are his wife, Remy; son Mark; daughters, Rosemarie, Irene (Lou) Talman; grandson Mike Talman; granddaughter Christine (Peter) Couch; great-granddaughter Celiese Lypka; great-grandsons, Josh, Matt and Noah Couch; and numerous extended family members. He was blessed with many special friends who also share in this loss today. The family expresses warmest gratitude to Dr. K. Boyd and associates; the medical staff at Victoria General Hospital; the Home-Care team; and our local first-responders and EMS crew for their expertise and quality care. Viewing will be held on Saturday, February. 24, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. The funeral service will take place at Immanuel Pentecostal Church, 955 Wilkes Avenue on Monday, February 26 at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing one-hour prior.
