EUGENE YUSEFAWICH 1938 - 2007 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Eugene Yusefawich on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at the age of 68 years, at his home in Winnipeg. Gene will be lovingly remembered by his daughter and son, Valerie (Winnipeg) and Joey (Calgary); granddaughter, Melissa, and Luba Yusefawich. He was predeceased by his father Joseph; mother Effie, and brother Russell. Born in Stuartburn, Manitoba on March 15, 1938, he was raised in Vita before settling in Winnipeg to raise a family. Gene was a successful businessman, running his own insulation company. His passions included billiards, a love of the outdoors, and a good game of Canasta. Gene enjoyed going for coffee and sharing his sense of humour with friends and neighbours. Cremation took place on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 with his children by his side. A celebration of Eugene's life will be announced at a later date. God saw you getting tired When a cure was not to be So He put His arms around you And said, Come to Me . You suffered so much in silence But now you are free of pain We would not want to wish this again. Rest in Peace father, we will sure miss you. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eugene's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
