DOROTHY EILEEN ATWELL It is with great sadness that we would like to announce the passing of Dorothy Eileen Atwell on February 19, 2007. She was born in Trinidad, West Indies and came to Canada in 1958 to join her husband John. She trained as an L.P.N. at Concordia General Hospital, where she worked until moving to the Health Sciences Centre, later transferring to Victoria General Hospital, from which she retired a few years ago. She was predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Mary Hordatt; brother Neville and sister Audrey, and is survived by sisters, Evelynn, and Ena; husband John; daughter Paula; grandchildren, Adelle, Michelle, and Daniel, and great-grandson Brandon. She will also be mourned by her in-laws, George and Francis and her many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Dorothy loved to travel and spend time with her grandchildren never missing one of their major sports events or music recitals. She will always be remembered for her kind and generous nature, not to mention, her gift of always helping those in need. Dotsy, memories shared, shall never be lost, as we will always carry you deep within our hearts. A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 26 at 11:00 a.m. in the Church of The Good Shepherd, followed by a reception at the Richmond Kings Community Centre.
