DOREEN BRULE (nee HADDOCK) Peacefully, with her family by her side, Doreen passed away on February 22, 2007 after a long and courageous battle with cancer at the age of 64 years. Doreen was predeceased by her father and mother, Thomas Frank and Adrienne Haddock. As a wife, mother and grandmother, Doreen will be lovingly remembered and missed by her husband, Jérome (Jerry) of 42 years; children, Rod (Trina), Rachelle (Joey Vajdl) and Delyse (Gilbert Vien) and three grandchildren, Lainie, Curtis and Reanne. She will also be sadly missed by her siblings, Thomas, Edward (Colleen), David (Louise), René (Lucia), Linda (Gil) Côté, Denise (Howard) Benson, Flo (Ralph) Knowles and Olive (Ed) Doucette, as well as numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Doreen was born and raised in Ile-des-Chênes, Manitoba where she met and married her husband and together they raised their family. Her greatest passion was spending time with grandchildren, family and friends. In keeping with Doreen's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial mass will be celebrated by Father Edmond Baril at the Ile-Des-Chênes Roman Catholic Church in Ile-des-Chênes, Manitoba on Monday, February 26 at 1:00 p.m. The family extends special thanks to Dr. Abdulrehman, Dr. P. Harris and the staff at the Concordia Oncology Department and the staff of ICU Seven Oaks Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Doreen's memory to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation, ON109-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or to a charity of one's choice.
