DOROTHEA (DOROTHY) ELSE RITZ (nee KLETKE) On Tuesday, February 20, 2007, Dorothy Ritz, aged 85 years, passed away peacefully at the Red River Valley Lodge in Morris. Dorothy was born on the family farm near Rosenfeld. She was third daughter of Adolf and Amalie (nee Boehm) Kletke. Dorothy married Robert Ritz on January 24, 1942, and they enjoyed 51 years together. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Cora (Daryl Doerksen) and her son Bob Ritz; seven grandchildren, Jackie (Norm Comeault), Warren (Brigitte) Doerksen, Connie (Hank Schmidt), Debbie (Trevor Davidson), Kerry (Chris Turner), Patti (Nathan Bolduc) and Kendra (Doyle Penner); and 14 great-grand-children, Ethan, Kylan, Karissa and Chaelyse Comeault, Brittany, Megan, Tori and Deryn Doerksen, Katlyn Davidson, Keli, Daxx, Trynity and Jett Turner and Keira Penner. She is also survived by two sisters, Lydia Watkin and Hedy (Ed Mazinke); brother-in-law Albert Schroeder and sister-in-law Annie Ritz. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Robert; her parents; two sisters, Martha Schroeder and Gertrude Martin; and brothers-in-law, Eddie Martin and Lloyd Watkin. There will be viewing at Morris Funeral Home on Saturday and Sunday, February 24 and 25 from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the St. John Lutheran Church in Rosenfeld on Monday, February 26 at 11:00 a.m., with interment at the Sewell Cemetery.
