SOPHIE (SHASTAKOWSKI) WOLONCHUK On Thursday, February 22, 2007, Sophie passed away after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 82. Sophie was predeceased by her first husband Walter. Sophie is survived by her husband Carl, son Bob Shasty and wife Lorraine Burke, sisters; Helen and Verna as well as brother; Adam and sister-in-law Marie Ambrozy and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Seven Oaks Hospital Floor 5 Unit 1 for their care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. A memorial service will take place on Tuesday, February 27 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with a reception to follow.
