Date of Passing: Feb 22, 2007
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMURIEL ALBERTA DAVIS It is with great sadness that I announce the peaceful passing of my mother on February 22, 2007 at the age of 89 years. Muriel Davis, formerly of Crystal City, MB, is survived by her daughter Carole Lee Davis. She was predeceased by her husband Fred Davis; son Richard and sister Jean McKitrick. Muriel leaves behind her sister May Batty, extended family and friends. Muriel was a member of Eastern Star, Job's Daughters, Daughters of the Nile and St. Peter's Anglican Church. Mother's interests included making crafts for charities, playing bridge with cherished friends and watching sports, especially curling. She always looked forward to attending the adult day program with a valued group of friends on Thursdays at the Golden Links Lodge. She was supported by a wonderful circle of friends and neighbours whose love, thoughts and condolences are acknowledged and appreciated at this difficult time. I would especially like to thank Joanne Rozitis for invaluable support over the years, and particularly during Mom's last weeks. I would like to acknowledge the professionalism, care and compassion given by Dr. Ray Singer, the nursing staff at Victoria General Hospital 4th floor, north and south, Dr. Julio Pintin; and nurses and staff in the ICU. A celebration of Muriel's life will be held on Thursday, March 1 at St. Peter's Anglican Church, 755 Elm St. (corner of Elm and Grant), Winnipeg at 10:30 a.m. A public graveside service will be held at Crystal City, MB at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Mom's memory to the Children's Hospital Research Fund or a charity of your choice. Graham's Funeral Service, Pilot Mound, MB is in care of arrangements. Muriel was friend of my mother's Evelyn Seibel. She was a wonderful friend and good neighbour to my mother. I thought of her often over the years. She was won of those people you thought would live forever. She will be deeply missed. Lorraine - Posted by: Lorraine Knoll (Friend) on: Feb 26, 2007
