WENDELL ALBERT EDWARDS (MANIX) November 28, 1942 - February 22, 2007 It is with heavy hearts and sadness that the family announces the passing of Wendell Manix Edwards, at the age of 64 years, on February 22, 2007 at the St. Boniface Hospital with his loving family by his side. Manix' memory will be cherished by wife, Glenner; children, Dave, Denver, Dwight, Cassandra, Kirk, Janice and Natalie; grandchildren, Kenisha, Jamal, Jada, Keishon, Trey, Tevon, Deka, and Rusheda, sisters, Lorna, Claudia, Sonia, and Sylvia, brothers, Garfield, Donald, and Rupert. Manix was predeceased by parents, Anita and Cleveland. Manix was born and raised in Jamaica where he learned his trade as an auto mechanic. Immigrating to Canada in 1969, he later became certified as a reefer mechanic and an inspection mechanic. Manix loved gardening, fishing, cooking, working on cars, and sports. He was very unselfish and giving. Manix was much loved and will be greatly missed. Viewing will be held Friday, March 2, 2007 at Calvary Temple, 400 Hargrave Street from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Viewing will be held Saturday, March 3 at 10:00 a.m. followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Temple with Pastor Bruce Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue. The family wishes to extend their thanks to the St. Boniface Hospital for all of their care and compassion.
