DENNIS WAYNE KING September 28, 1945 - February 24, 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Dennis Wayne King, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, at home, in the arms of his wife Diane on February 24, 2007. Dennis will be forever missed by his wife Diane, son, Dennis King Jr. and wife Lea, daughter, Cindy Gale and husband Don, grandchildren, Donald, Jami-Lee, Brenden and Ryan, mother, Shirley of Fort Frances, brothers, Dale (Gail) from Medicine Hat, AB Terry (Lori) Fort Dodge, Iowa, sisters, Diane (Bill Albright), Janice (Cliff Mundle), both of Fort Frances, Tammy (Harrold) of Calgary, mother-in-law, Irene (Tom) of Thunder Bay, sisters-in-law Connie (Richard) of Thunder Bay, Linda (Rick) of Calgary, Laurie (Dave) of Regina, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Dennis was predeceased by his father, Randall William King and brother Richard. Dennis was born and raised in Fort Frances, Ontario where he met and married Diane on October 2, 1964. They had 42 wonderful years together. Dad started out his career with CNR as a switchman in 1967 in Fort Frances, and transferred to Winnipeg in 1976 to CNR Symington Yard, where he continued his career until he retired in 1999. Dad enjoyed his retirement immensely, and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. Dad enjoyed sports on the widescreen, working in his yard, his morning walks, and riding his bike, as well as his passion for his Shelties, Shawny, Penny, Dakota and Gypsy, for whom he will never be forgotten. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd with viewing one-half hour prior to service time. Special thanks to the paramedics and staff at St. Boniface General Hospital Emergency and special friends, Al and Jeanette Martin for their care and kindness.
