THELMA DORIS RICE April 9, 1917 - February 22, 2007 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Thelma Rice at Central Park Lodge, six weeks before her 90th birthday. Thelma was predeceased by her husband Harry in 1979; and her sisters, Bernice Katz and Ethel Moss; as well as her brother Mort Levey. Thelma was the daughter of Bessie and Ezra Levey. She was born in Montreal and moved to Winnipeg in her early years. Aunty Thelma loved to bake, knit, entertain and play cards. She loved the company of family and friends. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews and their families. The family would like to thank Carol, Susan and all the staff at Central Park Lodge for the care and support Aunty Thelma always received for the past six years. Also, many thanks to Peggy for her help with Aunty Thelma. The funeral was held Friday, February 23 at the Shaarey Zedek Cemetery - graveside - with Rabbi Pinsker officiating. Pallbearers were Bernice Katz, Louis Trepel, Brent Trepel, Skyler Trepel, Albert Wilhelmer, Ted Wald, Jeremey Wald. Rest in peace, Aunty Thelma
