PETER D. TOEWS Peacefully on Friday, February 23, 2007 at the Bethania Mennonite Personal Care Home, Peter D. Toews passed away at the age of 89 years. He is survived by one sister, two brothers and their spouses and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Diedrich and Margaret Toews, two sisters and six siblings from Diedrich's first marriage. He grew up in the Blumenhof district west of Altona and lived in various locations, ending up in Winnipeg. A special thank you is extended to the staff at Bethania for the excellent care given to Peter in his last years. Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 2, 2007 at 1:00 p.m at the Altona Sommerfeld Mennonite Church. Viewing will be held on Thursday, March 1, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m at Friends Funeral Service, 2146 Main Street, Winnipeg and at the church prior to the service. Interment in the Altona Cemetery.
