KATHERINE MILLER (nee HUSULAK) Peacefully at the Riverview Health Center on February 23, 2007 Katherine Miller fell asleep in death at the age of 86 years. Katherine was born in Austria on May 6, 1920 and immigrated to Canada initially living in Insinger, Saskatechewan. She moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba in the late 1930s and worked in the food service industry until her retirement from the T. Eaton Company. Katherine is predeceased by her father Bill in 1957, her mother Ann in 1962, sister Vaselina in 1925, brother Steve in 1977 and sister Mary in 1986. Katherine is survived by her cousins, Alice Filigiano (husband Tom) of Pasedena California U.S.A, Alec Luczyk (wife Sadie) of Rainy River Ontario and Gladys Holowka (husband Wally) of Winnipeg, Manitoba. She will be fondly remembered for her keen sense of humor, laugh, smile and her quick wit. She enjoyed traveling and meeting individuals in places such as Hawaii, Australia, Asia and in New York U.S.A. Locally she enjoyed entertaining and getting together to play card games with her favorite game being Canasta . She will be fondly remembered by her spiritual brothers and sisters. Above all she was a spiritually minded person. She enjoyed reading the Bible daily and became a diligent student of God's Word. She enjoyed sharing what she learned with others whenever the opportunity presented itself even while she was convalescing. Her greatest love was for her Creator Jehovah God and she dedicated her life to serve him in August 1960. She associated with the River East Congregation since 1979. She had complete faith in Jehovah's promise of the resurrection to a Paradise earth as promised at John 5:28,29 and Revelation 21:3-5. Katherine firmly believed in this hope and excelled at teaching this promise as well as other promises described in the Bible to those in the community. We would like to thank the staff at the Riverview Health Center for their kindness and care towards Katherine during her brief stay there. A Memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday March 2, 2007 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah;s Witnesses at 937 Gateway Road with Bryan Yablonski officiating.
