Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRAYMOND ERNEST SUTHERLAND With sad and heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Raymond Ernest Sutherland. His mission here on earth has ended peacefully, lifted by Jesus on February 26, 2007. Raymond was predeceased by his son, Ernest in 1986. He leaves to mourn, his loving wife of 56 years in marriage, Adrienne (née Lansard); his children, son, Roger and daughter, Rose Hayek (Brian); grandchildren, Julie Coté (Roland), Peter St. Germaine (Becky), Lee Sutherland (Tara), Dana, Chantal and Sarah; great-grandchildren, Ava, Tristen, Angelique, Nathaniel, Caitlin, Emily, Anna, Justine and Mason; two sisters, Rose Delorme and Bertha Guay; two brothers, Joseph and Theodore and daughter-in-law, Jo-Anne, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Raymond was born on July 23, 1927 in St. Boniface. His deep faith allowed him to accept life with gratitude. His family was very special to him. He used his God given gift to sing and play guitar in church and especially to entertain his family and friends. The family would like to express deep appreciation to all who have been a source of support to family members during Raymond's illness. The family would also like to express their sincere thanks to the Concordia Hospital staff and to Dr. N. Khan for all their wonderful care and compassion. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. Ron Leger at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2007 at the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 778 Archibald Street. Viewing will take place prior to the service from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow the service in Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Raymond's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, R3C 2B7 or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, R3L 0K6.
