ALYCE LYNNE DILLABOUGH (nee: PRUDEN) August 13, 1941 February 27, 2007 It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the sudden passing of Lynne Dillabough on Tuesday, February 27 at her residence. Lynne was predeceased by her parents, Emma and Edgar; sister Betty; brother Ronnie; daughter Lori Lynne and son Jerry. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband of 43 years, Lawson Sr. (Al); children, Ronnie, Wendy, Colleen and Lawson (Sarah); her sister June (Roy) and brothers, Bill, Glen (Alice), Norman (Pat) and Dale (Kathy); as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends. Lynne was born in Selkirk and grew up in the Clandeboye/Selkirk area. It was there that she also raised her own family. Once her children were grown, she had various jobs outside the home. In the 90's she took a training course to become a health care aide. It was in doing this she truly found her calling, the people she cared for loved her and she loved them. She enjoyed sharing her interests with family and friends and liked to be surrounded by those whom she loved. She also discovered that she had a knack and a passion for knitting, creating treasures that were given to family and friends. Her main focus in life was for her family to be happy and to be together. She always put others before herself. Lynne never got over the death of her son Jerry. We had her for many years and now it is time for her to be with him. She went to be with him on what would have been his 48th birthday. A viewing will be held on Friday, March 2 from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Selkirk. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 3 at 11:00 a.m. also in the chapel with Rev. Godfrey Mawejje officiating. She will be buried beside her son Jerry in the St. George's Anglican Churchyard cemetery, Wakefield, Manitoba following the service. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
