MARY KLOWAK Peacefully at the St. Boniface Hospital on February 26, 2007, Mary, our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 80 years. She is lovingly remembered by her three daughters, Connie (Ken) Lowen, Brenda (Randy) Rawluk, Janice (Tim) Howell; grandchildren, Colin (Jennifer), Chelsea, Kristyn, Ryan, Devan and great-granddaughter Hannah. She is also survived by her sister Ethel Antonio, Anne (Ben) Slugoski and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband Walter in 1995, sister Helen, brothers, John, Mike, Nick and Paul. Our mother was born in Hazel Dell, SK on August 11, 1926. At the age of 17, she came to Winnipeg where she worked for many years at Swift Canadian where she met and married Walter in 1956. Together they created a happy home rich with love, laughter and lots of great home cooking. She also worked in the Georgian Room at The Bay for 19 years until her retirement. Her most precious gift to each of us was her unconditional love and support. She adored her grandchildren and took an active interest in their many activities. Grandma was their Best Friend . In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, Rm. ON 1160, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB.
