ELIE-ANNE (GODIN) CHAPUT December 16, 1921 - February 27, 2007 Peacefully, at the Foyer Youville in Ste. Anne, on Tuesday, February 27, 2007, Elie-Anne (Godin) Chaput passed away into the Lord's hands. Left to mourn her passing are her four sons, Raymond (Paulette), Roland (Suzanne), Jean-Pierre (Jeanette) and Mario (Cindy); and one daughter Jacqueline (Roland Guigueno); and by 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband François-Xavier in 2002; and daughters, Angele and Pierrette. She was a devoted wife and mother to her children. Her time was spent working with the family. Her love for life was only surpassed by her faith in God. She will always be remembered for her wonderful baking and canning abilities of which we all greatly appreciated. Her contagious smile was very cheerful and uplifting in tough times. Funeral service will be held at the Notre Dame de Lorette Roman Catholic Church in Lorette, MB, on Saturday, March 3. Prayer service will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral mass celebrated by Fr. René Chartier at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place in the Ste. Anne Parish Cemetery following the mass.
