EDMOND MORRIS MENARD March 4, 1925 February 28, 2007 It is with great sorrow that we, the family announce the sudden passing of our dear Brother, Father, Grandfather and Friend, Edmond on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at the Tache Nursing Home at the age of 81 years. Remaining to forever to cherish Edmond's memory are his brothers, Arthur (Shirley), David (Lea); sisters, Irene, Julie (Jerry), Estelle, Mona (Ed), Elena; sister-in-law Phyllis; numerous nephews and nieces and a very dear companion Antoinette Vandel. He was predeceased by his wife Edwina; parents, Ernest and Dorothy; brother Lucien; sisters, Jeannette, Annette and Lillian (nephews). Born in Fisher Branch, Manitoba, Edmond worked several jobs to support his family, from mining, farming, mechanic work, travelling from McKenzie Island, Ontario to the B.C. Coast. Edmond was a very loving, kind and gentle man to everyone who knew him. He had a great devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and to his church. Edmond loved music; listening to the fiddle, and especially playing the guitar and his mouth organ. He enjoyed playing cards, especially Crib. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, March 3 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Bernadette Roman Catholic Church, 820 Cottonwood Road, with Rev. Fr. Fred Olds, presiding. A private family interment will take place at a later date in Fisher Branch. The family would like to send a special thanks to Antoinette for being there for Edmond, and the nursing staff on 4ABC at Tache Nursing Home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Edmond's memory to the Fisher Branch Cemetery Fund, C/O Arborg Credit Union Ltd. Fisher Branch, 48 Tache Street, Fisher Branch, Manitoba R0C 0Z0.
