The daughter of Edward and Lena (Daly) Hopper of Mather, Manitoba, Doris trained as a registered nurse in the Free Mason's General Hospital in Morden, Manitoba, and married Judson Wesley Scales in 1939. She will also be missed by sisters-in-law, Mildred and Viola, brother-in-law Mac (Mary), cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral service was held at St. Andrew's United Church at 11:00 a.m. on February 22, 2007. Interment was in the family plot in Birchwood Cemetery, Swan River, Manitoba. Rev. Salesi Takau officiated at the service.
