Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGLADYS ADA KATRICK (nee McDOUGAL) November 6, 1920 February 27, 2007 Peacefully on February 27, 2007, at the River East Personal Care Home. Gladys was predeceased by her husband, Bill in 2002, sister Elsie, brother Stan, and parents William and Ellen McDougal. Gladys is survived by sons, Ron (Christine), Gerry (Kathy) and daughter Janice (John Thiessen), grandchildren, Laurie (Ray Lowe), Heather (Rob Ellison), Tracy (Jim Walde), Brenda (Kevin Ronald) and Shayla Katrick, great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Megan, Trevor, Alison, Tyson, Kameron, Katie and Braedon. She is also survived by her brothers, Gerry and Roy and sister Irene Short, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Gladys was born in Putney, London England and from the age of two, lived in the Morse Place Community. First with family on Moncton Avenue, and then with husband and children on Gateway Road. For the past eight years, Gladys resided at the River East Personal Care Home, where she was well looked after by the exceptional and wonderful staff. Many thanks to them all, for their loving care and compassion. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 7 at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. Interment will be held at a later date. Flowers gratefully declined, but friends may make a donation in Gladys' name to the Alzheimer's Society.
