JAMES (SCOTTY) RUSSELL April 5, 1920 - February 26, 2007 On Monday, February 26, 2007 at the Deer Lodge Centre, Jim died at the age of 86 years. Remaining to cherish Jim's memory are his wife Jean (Eugenia); and his stepsons, Clint and Andy McKechnie. He is predeceased by his parents and his sister Flora. Born on April 5, 1920 to James and Nettie, in Brandon, he lived his early years in Rivers, MB. Jim had the pleasure of growing up in a country setting and shared his parent's love of music. He enjoyed playing the accordion, violin and harmonica. Jim also served overseas in England for five years during the Second World War. After the war, Jim had the opportunity to become a powerhouse engineer. Eventually, he spent many years working at Deer Lodge Centre until he retired in 1977. One of Jim's proud achievements was his involvement with the Royal Arch Masons for 50 years. In compliance with Jim's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held, and interment with his parent's in Rivers, MB will take place at a later date. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to many staff of the Deer Lodge Centre that had welcomed and cared for Jim over the past few years.
