ELLA (ELAINE) WINNIFRED WIGHTON In the evening of February 24, 2007, Ella (Elaine) Winnifred Wighton passed away at her home, where she lived with her husband, George Hutcheon Wighton, who predeceased her January 17, 1988. Mom was born on February 7, 1909, in Dauphin, MB, to early turn of the Century Farm Settlers Mildred and Frank Crowder. Mom was the last remaining of 13 brothers and sisters. Mom was employed many years by The Bay, in the Grill Room, until retirement. Leaving to mourn is her daughter and son-in-law, Audree and Ron Kelly, grandson Todd, great-granddaughter Riley Rae of Calgary, her lifelong friend Edna Brook, her dear sister-in-law Irene Crowder, and much loved Gayle Northcott which whom she shared a special bond. Special thanks to neighbours, Rose, John and Margaret Haynes who unfailingly looked in on Mom to confirm her safety. In keeping with Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will not be a funeral service. In lieu of flowers, friends may wish to consider making a donation to: The Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3. Ph. 982-2041. Mini Schnauzers were a great love in Mom's life. Just as Mom chose these words for Dad, we have chosen them for Mom, too. How sweet to sleep where all is peace. Where sorrow cannot touch the breast. Where all life's idle throbbings cease and pain is put to rest. Arrangements entrusted to: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME CREMATORIUM FAMILY OWNED OPERATED 1531 Pembina Hwy 284-7500
