ROY D. WILSON 1930 - 2007 Passed away peacefully at Protem Health Services, Moncton, NB on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at the age of 76. Loving husband of Louise Wilson of Riverview. Born in Belfast, Ireland on July 19, 1930, Roy was the son of the late Thomas and Rowena Wilson. He moved to Canada in 1952 at the age of 22, where he joined the R.C.A.F. for training and flying and was then employed by Great West Life in Winnipeg. Roy's passion always was Flying so he remained active with the Reserves were he served with 402 Squadron as a Lt. Colonel and the Aviation Museum for many years. Roy was also a member of the Loyal Free Mason Acacia Lodge #52 and a member of the Riverview Veterans association for many years, where he also served as President in 2005. He was also an avid Golfer and Bridge player. The family wishes to thank the staff and doctors at Protem Health Services for the wonderful care and attention that he received, while he was a resident. Besides Louise, Roy is survived by his three sons, Derek (Pauline) of Winnipeg, Scott (Kelly) of Winnipeg and Michael (Cheryl) of Edmonton; two brothers, Derek (Jeanne) of Belfast, Ireland and Ian of Wales; five grandchildren, his pride and joy, Michael, Mitchell, Sean, Nathan and Quinn; stepchildren, Gloria Duncan (Betty), Earlene Chapman, William Duncan, George Duncan (Brenda) and Michael Duncan (Cathy) all of Moncton and also by a special companion Scruffy. Besides his parents, Roy was predeceased by his first wife Donna (Brisley) Wilson. As per Roy's request there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A Legion Service will also be held from the Chapel at 9:45 a.m. Funeral service will be held from Fair Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor G. Cowper officiating. Burial to follow at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens, Serenity Niche. The family would appreciate donations to Alzheimer Society or to any other charity.
