LILLIAN (LIN) ALBERTA SNEAD (nee BOYD) 1922 2007 The family sadly announces Lillian peaceful passing on March 3, 2007 at Third Crossing Manor in Gladstone, Manitoba. She was predeceased by her husband Edward (Ted) Snead (1985); her parents James and Levica Boyd; her sisters Irene Forbes, Helen Scott, Hazel Quane, and Muriel Young. Lillian will be lovingly remembered by her children, Rick Scott (Joanne) of Calgary, AB, Cheri Helstrom (Dave) of Gray, SK, and Dawn Coubrough (Perry) of Gladstone, MB; five grandchildren Lesley Severson (Lisa) of Saskatoon, SK, Cory Davies of Winnipeg, MB, Reed Scott (Erin) of Victoria, BC, Darryl Davies of Bogota, Columbia, and Lara Scott of Victoria, BC; one great-granddaughter Maegan and one stepgreat-grandson Chad of Saskatoon, SK as well as numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. Lillian was born in Wawanesa, MB and moved to Melita, MB where she grew up and completed her schooling. Upon graduation she attended Business College and worked for a period of time in Winnipeg, MB until she married Richard (Dick) Scott of Alameda, SK in 1946. Her next twenty-five years were spent raising her family on various military bases in Canada and abroad. Throughout the years Lillian worked in various Government positions. Lillian met and married the love of her life, Ted in 1978. They shared seven beautiful years together until Ted's sudden passing in 1985. Since the time of her retirement she travelled, volunteered and spent quality time with her family and friends until afflicted with Alzheimer's which robbed her and her family of many quality years. To know Lillian was to lover her. Her kind, generous, and gracious personality was an inspiration to all who knew her. The family wishes to thank the doctors and staff of Third Crossing Manor and Seven Region Health Centre for the kindness and care provided to our mother in the last months. A Memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gladstone United Church with Rev. Ian Olive officiating. Interment will take place in the family plot in Melita at a later date.
