Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJANE (JEAN) MARTIN (nee PALMER) With the strength and courage and dignity, she peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2007. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, came to Canada as a British War Bride in March 1946. She was a founding member of the British Wives Club. Later in her adult life she moved to New York City, with her daughter Janice. She came back to Winnipeg to live out her retirement life. Mum was a good friend to all who knew her and will always be lovingly remembered and dearly missed. My dearly loved Mother left us peacefully after a lengthy battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Janice of Winnipeg; her niece Maureen and husband Dave and children of Winnipeg; her nephew Henry and wife Pam and children of London, England; her nephew Alan of Edgewater, Florida; her niece Rosemary and husband Peter and children of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; her sister-in-law Edith of Lady Lake, Florida; her childhood friend Alice of Harrington, Quebec, her longtime friend Ann of Winnipeg. Predeceased by her parents; sister Rose of Florida, brother William of Florida and sister Mary of Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in her memory to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3A 1P6. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at The Holy Redeemer Parish located at 264 Donwood Drive in North Kildonan, Winnipeg, MB R2G 0W5.
