Date of Passing: Feb 24, 2007
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOROTHY MUIRHEAD (nee DANGERFIELD) It is with deep sorrow that the family of Dorothy Muirhead (Dangerfield) announces her passing on Saturday, February 24, 2007, in Mississauga. Dorothy died peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She will be dearly missed by her husband Brian; her children, Megan, Jamie, Raquel Kerr (Russ) and granddaughter Devon Kerr. Dorothy is the much-loved daughter of Jim and Monica Dangerfield and sister of Jim (Debbie), Paula Finkelstein (Bert), Mark (Helena) and Lisa Brunette (Tony). From the onset of ALS three years ago, Dorothy struggled valiantly against the disease, refusing to give in as she maintained her passion for life and the ones she loved. Even when her speech was affected, her contact with friends and family helped sustain her to the end. Dorothy's sense of humour, dignity and grace were an inspiration to all who knew her. After years of collecting books, cookie jars, Aladdin lamps, and antique furniture; Dorothy has closed her Ebay account! For sure! A service of remembrance will be held in Winnipeg on Thursday, March 8 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas More Chapel, 66 Birchdale Ave. Flowers are gratefully declined. If you so wish, donations could be made to ALS Research, Dr. M. Strong, 339 Windermere Rd., London, ON, N6A 5A5.

I go to SMA and saw her name in the graduate pictures. What a stellar name for what I can only assume was a stellar woman. So heartbroken to hear of her passing, but glad I found her nonetheless. Sounds like a sweet gal, and sending my condolences to her friends and family. - Posted by: Julia (Observer) on: Mar 29, 2022
