Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPHYLLIS PODOLCHAK (nee SAWKEY) 1936 - 2007 Phyllis peacefully passed away at home on March 3, 2007, surrounded by her family who deeply loved her. She will be greatly missed by Daniel, her husband of 45 years; three daughters, Karen (Geoff), Cheryl (Paul), Denise; and grandchildren, Sarah, Jared, Rachelle and Connor; brothers, Louis (Lesia), Phil (Jean); as well as cousins, nieces and nephews. Mom devoted her life to raising her family. Once her children were older she enjoyed working at Eaton's in the china and giftware department. She loved gardening, animals and spoiling her grandchildren. She recently started to play the keyboard and complete Sudoku in her spare time. Despite enduring multiple medical treatments, Phyllis would say, It was all worth it. She loved life and looked forward to being with her grandchildren, spending time in nature, camping or being at the family cabin at Beresford Lake and Winnipeg Beach. She enjoyed her travels throughout Canada and the southern states. She was fortunate to be able to travel to the Florida Keys just one week ago. Our mother was selfless and caring. Her greatest joy was being with family. Prayers will be held on Thursday, March 8 at 7:00 p.m. at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Eucharist Church, 460 Munroe. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Boniface CancerCare with special thanks to Lori for her kindness and support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba. You lived your life for those you loved You will always be in our hearts Arrangement entrusted to: GLEN LAWN FUNERAL HOME 982-7550
