EMMA GEISLER August 2, 1920 - March 4, 2007 On March 4, 2007, Emma Geisler (nee Ruchotski) passed away peacefully at the Lakeshore Health Centre at the age of 86. Mom was born in Ashern, MB, August 2, 1920. Mom married Dad (Leonard) on November 20, 1953 with whom she shared 40 years. Mom and Dad farmed in the Ashern area until Dad's passing in 1994. They also owned and operated the Ashern Snack Bar for several years. Mom was a devoted charter member of the Grace Lutheran Church and was actively involved in many local community groups. Mom touched the lives of many people and was always there to respond to anyone in need and made you feel as if you were part of her family. She was a Mom to many and will be sadly missed. In Mom's recent years she enjoyed the company of her Glencora Estates neighbours in many friendly games of cards and fellowship. Mom is lovingly remembered by her daughter Randa Nemish (Greg) and son Bill (Libby), her sisters-in-law, Emma Ruchotski, Hertha Arnason, Tillie Geisler, Nettie Geisler, brother-in-law Andy Anderson, her extended family, Fred and Mary Bezemer and family, Mike and Villa Leitold, along with many nieces, nephews and friends. Mom was predeceased by her husband Leonard, and infant daughter Linda Marie, parents, Alexander and Sophia Ruchotski; sisters, Alvina Hubert, Elsie Kopp; brothers, Ralph, Bill, Steve, Henry, Wilbert, and a sister and brother in infancy. A celebration of Mom's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 9 at the Grace Lutheran Church, Ashern, MB with Pastor Terry Throndson officiating. Interment will follow in the Grace Lutheran Cemetery. Friends and relatives may pay their respects between 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2007 at the Arnason Funeral Home in Ashern. Pallbearers for Emma will be Richard and John Bezemer, Dain Lennstrom, Greg Vince, Tyler Geisler and Dean Thorlacius. The family would like to thank the doctor and staff at the Lakeshore Health Centre for the excellent care and support they gave to Mom and the family during her brief stay in the hospital. Thank you to Glen and John of Arnason Funeral Home, and our family and friends for their love, comfort and support. Your kindness did not go unnoticed. If friends and family so wish, donations may be made in Mom's memory to the Grace Lutheran Church Memorial Funds, Box 240, Ashern, MB, R0C 0E0. Arrangements by: Arnason Funeral Homes Ltd.
