DELIA GALANG 1947 - 2007 Peacefully, on March 2, 2007, Delia passed away at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg. Delia will be lovingly remembered by her husband Jun; their two sons, Clifton and Mark; brothers and sisters in the Philippines, Alfredo (Floserfrida), Juanita (Noberto), Rodolfo (Sion), numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was predeceased by her father Nicasio, mother Virginia, brother Roberto and sister Nieves. Delia was born in Guimba, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. She moved to Holland in 1969 for work purposes where she met her life-long friends the Gendringen Girls . They then came to Canada in 1972. Delia settled in Winnipeg where she and Jun raised their two sons. She enjoyed dancing, cooking and baking, watching her sons' baseball games, gardening, manicures, shopping and travelling. Delia took pride in her Catholic faith. She was a caring, warm friend and a devoted family woman. Viewing (lamay) will be held at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. on Thursday and Friday, March 8 and 9 from 6:00 p.m. to 12 midnight. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Cathedral, 353 St. Mary Ave. on Saturday, March 10, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. viewing will be held one hour prior to service. Interment to take place in the Philippines. The family would like to thank the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at St. Boniface Hospital for their care and compassion.
