GERALDINE GRACE WARREN (nee HARRIS) It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Gerry, on March 7, 2007, at the age of 83. Gerry leaves behind her son Gerald (Carol); daughter Karol (Tom); grandson Kelly (Shawne); great-granddaughters, Kiley and Cassidy; and many friends and relatives. She was predeceased by her husband Frank; son Tyler; and her granddaughters, Karen and Holly Warren. Gerry and her husband Frank worked in their own garden supply company, Warren's Cartage, for over 50 years. When Frank passed on she continued to work in the business with the help of her family. She loved being President. Gerry was well known for her extensive flower garden. In the summer, it was sometimes difficult to find a parking space outside her home for sight-seers. She had a special green thumb when it came to growing begonias. Mom, I'm not sure how we are going to manage without your special expertise. Mom was always there to help, whether it was to babysit your children or your dogs. Any stray dog found a very good home with Mom. Due to recent failing health she had been unable to garden but remained self-sufficient with the help of family and friends. The family would like to extend a special thanks to her neighbours Jim and Marilyn Palmer who helped her in so many ways. We also wish to thank Dr. Schellenberg, her family doctor, who cared for her for many years and more recently, Dr. Joshua, her homecare workers and nurses. Viewing will be held on Sunday, March 11, 2007, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A funeral service will be held Monday, March 12, 2007, at 3:00 p.m., also at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations in Gerry's memory may be made to the Hemophilia Society, 932 A Erin Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3G 2W5, or a charity of one's choice. Arrangements entrusted to: Chapel Lawn Funeral Home And Reception Centre 885-9715
