LESLIE L. EDEN February 22, 1928 March 8, 2007 Peacefully and comfortably at the Victoria General Hospital. Leslie reached the end of his long journey with a multitude of ailments. Family surrounded Dad at the time of his passing. Leslie is survived by his loving wife Dorothy and his daughters, Barbara Culbertson (Ron), Jan Hayward (Frank) and his adored grand- daughter Shelby Hayward and her father Lorne. His sisters, Nancy Hutchison (Don) Parksville, BC, Jess Laskey (Dan), Langley, BC, and also his sister-in-law Gladys Eden; Prince's Plain England, and numerous nieces and nephews in Canada and England. His parents Harold and Edith Eden, and in-laws, Ted and Dorothy Lang, as well as his brother Frank predeceased Leslie. Dad worked for many years for the St. James Assiniboia School Division. Upon retirement he and Mom moved to the cottage at Sunset Bay were they spent many happy years. There they made many friends and Dad loved every season, whether it was snowmobiling or running around on his four-wheeler. Once his grand daughter was born he and Mom loved spending time with her at the lake. The enjoyed this simple life until Dad's illnesses became too great and they gave up the cottage. One of dad's greatest joys was his children and his only grandchild Shelby. In the past several years he enjoyed life through them and their adventures. Dad was extremely proud of all of us and we will miss him terribly. At his request there will be no service and he asks that everyone remember the good times they shared with him. Donations can be made in his name to either the Kidney Foundation of Canada - Manitoba Branch, 730 Taylor, or CancerCare Manitoba, 191 Sherbrook. The family would like to thank his many Doctors' and caregivers, as well as the staff at the Victoria General Hospital for the care and compassion they offered him in his last two weeks of life. Rest Well Papa, Rest Well. We will all miss you and think of you often.
