KAREN VAN REEDE (nee VOSS) February 9, 1945 March 6, 2007 After a six year battle with cancer, Karen passed away peacefully at the Riverview Health Centre, at the age of 62 years. Karen was born in Winnipeg and called East St. Paul home for the past 36 years. Always the organizer, she devoted 10 years to the community club as Secretary/Treasurer. She was involved with the Manitoba Central Soccer League, using her organizational skills as Secretary-Treasurer for over 15 years. And, she managed the home office for her husband's business. Karen loved to bowl. She was the President of the Riverside Homemakers Bowling League for 20 years and continued to bowl with her left hand after losing feeling in her right hand due to cancer. Her other loves were line dancing and two-stepping at the Legion, camping and fishing, readingand she always had a puzzle on the go. Karen was a doer and spent a great amount of time maintaining her large yard, garden, house and pool. Her family was her cornerstone, and she was theirs. Karen will be greatly missed by Adriaan, her husband of 43 years; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Rob Pellaers; son Michael van Reede; grandchildren, Amelia, Justin and Brooklyn; her mother and father, Mary and Nelson Voss; her brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Maureen Voss and sister and brother-in-law, Trudi and Jan Ihme. Also touched are brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ann and John Kok and Liz and John Stornel; numerous nieces and nephews and a lifetime of great friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Home with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to CancerCare Manitoba, 109-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9. Special thanks to Maureen for all her help. Mom, you are in our hearts forever. KLASSEN FUNERAL HOME 1897 Henderson Hwy. 338-0331 www.klassenfuneralhome.com
