LOUISE BEATRICE GREEN October 6, 1921 - February 25, 2007 After many years of struggling with health concerns, Louise Green passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 25, 2007, at The Golden West Centennial Lodge at the age of 85 with her loving family at her side. Remaining to forever cherish Louise's memory are her daughters, Wilma Wiebe (Tom), Freda Smith (Ernie Turek), Brenda Johnston and Lorraine Green (Bobbi LaPointe); sons, Ken Green (Arla), Bruce Green (Betty) and Zale Fitzgerald (Kathy); 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Dyson Skelton (Joan) and Edmond Skelton (Kay); and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Alfred Green; her parents William and Blanche Skelton; birth mother Caroline Davenport; and her sons, Keith and Wayne. Born in Edmonton, Alberta, on October 6, 1921, Louise lived and received her education in St. James. She married the love of her life Alfred Green on November 25, 1939, and enjoyed 57 years of marriage. Together they had nine children. Louise was first and foremost a wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. Family was her mission. Louise always cared for those who were less fortunate with a great meal and an excellent cup of tea. Many extra meals were consumed at 273 Queen Street. How we will miss those incredible roast beef and Yorkshire pudding dinners, incomparable pies, shortbread, and Newfie balls. Louise and Alfred shared many happy years at their cottage at Winnipeg Beach - the site of many festive occasions for family and friends. As health became an issue, Louise and Alfred left their home on Aldine Street and moved into the Courts of St. James. Old friendships were rekindled and new ones made. Louise still managed to garden on her patio and as always raised some outstanding flowers, vegetables and fruit. A celebration of Louise's life will be announced at a later date. We would especially like to thank all the staff at the Golden West Centennial Lodge who was so kind to Louise and her family. We would also like to thank the Home Care ladies for their care. A special thank-you to Louise's granddaughter Denise for the tireless and loving care she gave her beloved Gramma. Donations may be made in Louise's memory to the Golden West Centennial Lodge, 811 School Road, Winnipeg, MB R3Y 0S8. Her memories are with us and ease our grief. She will be in our hearts and will be loved forever. Louise's arrangements have been entrusted to the Family Owned Funeral Chapel of: WOJCIK'S ALL BELIEFS FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL CREMATORIUM 897 - 4665
