ALMA ELVERA CLARK (nee FISCHER) On Wednesday, March 7, 2007 Alma Clark passed away peacefully at her residence in the Douglas Campbell Lodge, Portage la Prairie, at the age of 104 years. She was born March 5, 1903 in Waterloo, Ontario. Alma and her husband came west to Manitoba in 1925. He passed away in 1961. Alma moved to Portage la Prairie in 1961 and has lived at the Douglas Campbell Lodge for the last eight years. She leaves behind her daughter Isabelle Fortune of Winnipeg; son Robert of Portage la Prairie; three grandchildren, Margaret (Jim) Jones of St. Albert, AB, Harold of Vancouver, BC and JoAnne (Richard) Dyck of Winnipeg; three great-grandchildren, Michael and Brenda Jones and Ryan Dyck; along with numerous relatives in Montana, USA. Cremation has taken place and there will be a private burial in the family plot at Shoal Lake Cemetery at a later date.
