NELLIE HOROSKO (nee KIZLIK) Peacefully in her sleep on Friday, March 9, 2007 at the East Gate Lodge, Beausejour, MB Nellie Horosko passed away at the age of 87 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving sons, Donald (Vivian) of Saskatoon, SK and Andrew (Linda) of Winnipeg; grandchildren, John, Laura and Mark; sisters, Jean Shumila, Helen Kianski and Mary Fote; brothers, Steven Kizlik, John Kizlik, Paul Kizlik and Tony Kizlik; and her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph, sister Josephine Oneschuk and brother Mike Kizlik. Nellie was born to Alexander and Anna Kizlik in Cromwell, MB on August 6, 1919. She and Joseph Horosko were married in Tyndall, MB on June 23, 1940. They lived and farmed in the Sebright District until they moved to Beausejour in 1972. Nellie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to cook, garden, have tea with her friends and chat on the phone with her sisters. She was a devoted member of the Ukrainian Catholic Church. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at 7:30 p.m. from Russell Funeral Home, Beausejour, MB with Deacon Tyrawski officiating. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, March 15 at 10:00 a.m. from the Holy Ghost UK Church, Beausejour, MB with Fr. Isidore Dziadyk OSBM Presiding. Interment in the Parish Cemetery. Our special thanks to the Staff of the East Gate Lodge for their kindness and excellent care of Nellie these past years.
