JOSEPH ROBERT SAUNDERS Peacefully on Thursday, March 8, 2007 at the age of 79 years, Joseph passed away at the Oakview Extendicare Personal Care Home in Winnipeg. Joseph was predeceased by his parents, Joseph Saunders and Lorna Beatrice Hull Saunders-Fries; his brothers, Cecil and Billy. He is survived by his sisters, Grayce Elizabeth Hutchison, May Town, Laura Martin and his brother Robert. Joe was a dedicated employee for West End Tire for many years and enjoyed his weekly trips on the road and at the shop. Joseph was a quiet and reserved man who lived and cared for his widowed mother. He had a great sense of humour and was quick to laugh. Joe took a keen interest in airplanes and visited the airport frequently to watch all of the air traffic. He also had a great affection for dogs and enjoyed spending time with his favourite niece Andrea. Joe will be missed by all who knew him. The family wishes to thank Inez and all of the staff at Oakview Extendicare for all of their support, care and concern for Joseph. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a nice gesture bestowed toward a loved one, or time spent with a senior citizen. Chapel Lawn Funeral Home 885-9715
