Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLESLIE GORDON EVERTON May 25, 1927 - March 9, 2007 On March 9, 2007 at the Concordia Hospital, our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Leslie Everton, passed away at age 79 years. Leslie leaves to mourn and cherish his memory, his wife Noreen; his children, Leslie, Clifford, Robin Jill, Brenda, Bill, John and Bernadet; grandchildren, David, Chris, Jaimy, Jackie, Stephen, Sky, Nathan and his great-grandchild, Emily. He was predeceased by his parents and his seven brothers and sisters. Leslie had been employed by the CNR and the Liquor Control Commission. Family was of utmost importance to Leslie and this devotion also included being a foster parent for 25 years. Noreen and Leslie returned to Ottermere, ON to make their home, over 20 years ago, where Leslie had made many friends, both young and old. With his great enthusiasm with the younger generation at the lake, the kids knew him as Grampa Four Wheeler and he maintained that the kids kept him young. He will be missed by many, both young and old lake buddies. Leslie was an associate member of the Transcona Legion Branch No. 7 and in past years had been a Noble Grand of the Oddfellows. A celebration of his life will be held at the Transcona Legion, 117 Regent Ave. East on Thursday, March 15 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, if friends so wish, memorial donations may be made to Prostrate Cancer Research. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.

We were so fortunate to have been neighbours of the Evertons at Ottermere. Leslie's gentle, quiet humour, his kindness, good advice and generous help were and are appreciated, and remain a wonderful part of our memories of Ottermere. Heartfelt thanks from Don and Della Danko. - Posted by: Donald Danko (Friend) on: Mar 12, 2007
