MARY MELESHKO (nee SLUSARCHUK) September 22, 1928 March 10, 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary at Victoria Hospital on March 10, 2007, at the age of 78 years. She will be missed by her loving and faithful companion Alex Kernovich, whom she loved dearly. Her daughter-in-law Karen; two granddaughters and their families; two brothers: Bill and Peter (Marie) Slusarchuk of Winnipeg; one half sister Anne Kis of Steinbach; two step sisters: Mary Kolynchuk and Helen Kolynchuk; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her only son Gerald and one grandson Daryl; her parents, Theodore Slusarchuk and Anna Hunka; two sisters: Phyllis Yakem and Olga Stemkoski; two brothers: Paul and John Slusarchuk. Mary was born in Stuartburn, MB, then moved with her family to Trentham, MB. Later in life Mary moved to Calgary, AB then on to Yellowknife, NWT where she lived for 25 years. Mary was very determined person and succeeded in everything she pursued in life. The family would like to thank the care giving staff at Maples Nursing Home in Winnipeg.
