EDITH ANNIE MCMURRAY (nee MARTIN) Peacefully, March 12, 2007, Edith Annie McMurray passed away at the age of 84, at the Victoria General Hospital. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Doug, daughters, Linda (Stephen), Donna (Jack), grandson Kevin (Pam), and great-granddaughter Taylor. She was predeceased by her grandson Cory in 2000. Mom was a homemaker who took great pride in raising her daughters and looking after her home. She was an excellent cook and her baking was second to none. Mom knitted many a scarf, sweater, mitts and toques for friends, family and charity. She was also very adept at sewing. One of the nicest things she made was a petit-point picture of the Blue Boy that hangs proudly in their room in the Manor . Mom grew up in Elmwood where she met the love of her life, Doug. They enjoyed 63 years together, raising their kids, travelling, and babysitting her grandchildren. Her eyes lit up whenever her grandsons and great-granddaughter Taylor entered the room. Most recently she and Doug lived at the Lindenwood Manor where she retired from cooking and chores. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to the staff at the Victoria General Hospital. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, March 16, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Heritage Room at Lindenwood Manor, 475 Lindenwood Drive East.
