GLORIA YAREMCHUK (WASYLKIW) December 11, 1941 March 9, 2007 Gloria passed away peacefully at home on March 9, 2007, with her husband Walter and brother Johnny by her side. Gloria was predeceased by her father John, mother Sophie and brother Harry. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Walter; brothers, Johnny, Nester (Pat); sisters-in-law, Wanda Graber (Adolf), Glady Malinoski (Gord); numerous nieces, nephews; and her beloved dog Mia. Gloria worked at Manitoba Hydro for many years until poor health forced her into early retirement in 1986. She also helped Walter at their family grocery store. Gloria fought a long and hard battle against diabetes and for the last few years defied all odds. They were able to enjoy some time together at their summer home at Winnipeg Beach until her illness forced their return to Winnipeg. Some of Gloria's passions were singing Christmas carols at family dinners, playing bingo, and her great love of animals. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery on Main St. The family would like to express their gratitude to the paramedics, and Chris and Jay of the WPS.
