TOM LINDSAY Peacefully with his daughter by his side on March 11, 2007, at the Concordia Hospital at the age of 84 years. He is survived by daughter Megan, three sisters, Isabel Southall, Liz (Ron) Swait, Cay (Ross) Dipple, brother-in-law John Schmidt and their families. Tom was predeceased by his wife Marjorie, two sisters, Janet Allen and Shirley Schmidt, two brothers-in-law, Rod Allen and Tom Southall. Tom was born in Winnipeg (Morse Place). Tom was involved in the Second World War from 1941 to 1946. He was gunner in the F troop, 91st Battery, 6th Field Regiment and Royal Canadian Artillery. Tom was a veteran of Caen-Falaise Gap, France. Tom was also involved in the liberation of Holland and the last march from Paris to Frankfurt in 1945. Tom married Marjorie in England in 1944. It was there that their daughter Megan was born. They came to Canada together in 1946. Tom was employed with Canadian National Railway till retiring in 1984. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 15 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
