PAUL ZAPOTOCHNY Peacefully on Saturday, March 10, 2007 at the Selkirk Betel Home, Paul passed away at the age of 85 years. He was predeceased by his father Michael, mother Anastasia, sisters, Ann and Mary, brothers, Frank, Stanley, Tony and John and stepsisters, Katie, Nellie and Mary. Dad was born in Rembrandt, Manitoba on June 27, 1921. He worked hard all his life and loved to keep busy even after retirement. Tauchie will be sadly missed by his seven children; daughter Marianne (Norman), grandson Eric (Erin), granddaughter Melanie (Mark) and granddaughter Crystal; son Ralph; son Tony (Debbie), granddaughter Tanis (Wes), great-granddaughter Taylor, granddaughter Shannon (Ryan), great-granddaughters, Alyssa and Kolbie; son Stanley (Susan), grandson Shane (Mandi), granddaughter Samantha; daughter Sandi, grandson Greg Jr., granddaughter Brandy; daughter Laureen (Scott), grandson Stephen Jr.; son Ron (Kim), grandson Alex and granddaughter Chelsea. Dad will be sadly missed for his honesty and generosity. During the last five year stay at Selkirk, Dad received the best possible care from all the Nursing staff who made his last days comfortable. A Big thank you to all the staff and special thank you to Virginia for everything you've done for Dad. Dad has gone to heaven for a much needed rest. Prayers were held on Wednesday, March 14 at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Gimli. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 15 (today) at 2:00 p.m. also in the Chapel with Fr. Art Seaman officiating. Interment to follow in the Rembrandt Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Norman Jawolik, Scott Giller, Shane Zapotochny, Eric Jawolik, Greg Krzanowski Jr., Stephen Hans Jr., Mark Isfjord and Alexander Paul Zapotochny. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli in care of arrangements.
