GORDON (GORD) EDWARD HALPENNY It is with sad hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Husband, Father, Brother and Grandfather, Gordon Edward Halpenny, on Sunday, March 11, 2007, at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 72 years. Remaining to cherish Gord's memory are his wife Claire; his children, Brad (Barb), Greg (Suzanne), Perry (Sharlene); brother Ray (Rhea); grandchildren, Amanda, Madison, Cassie; Brad's extended family, Stephanie (Chris), Hayden, Keira, Samantha; as well as nieces, nephews and many friends. Gord's granddaughters were his pride and joy. He also took great pleasure in being the PFL (President For Life) of his bi-weekly golf group. Gord also found much enjoyment just puttering around in his yard. A funeral service for Gord will be held on Saturday, March 17 at 1:00 p.m. in the Westwood Community Church, 401 Westwood Drive. Gord's passing leaves a large void in our family; he will be missed. The family would like to thank all who cared for Gord at the HSC SICU and St. Boniface Palliative Care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gord's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 200 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C OS6.
