ROBERT FRANCIS ALLAN Peacefully, with his family by his side, Robert Francis Allan passed away at Concordia Hospital on March 12, 2007 at the age of 84. He is survived by his wife Yvonne; his children, David (Pat), Dennis (Margaret), Jerry (Marg); as well as seven grandchildren, Keith, Heather, Debbie, Ken, Greg, Donald and Kevin and six great-grandchildren. In addition there are many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife Mary Erma in 1972 and was the last survivor of his 12 siblings. Bob worked at the CNR for 38 years before his retirement in 1978. He was a Second World War veteran and a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion. For many years he was a member of Patricia Lodge #125 AF AM. He enjoyed stamp and coin collecting, gardening and was most happy when friends and family would visit him at his retirement residence at Ponemah Beach, MB. He also enjoyed playing bingo and bus trips south. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 17 at 10:00 a.m. at Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to a charity of one's choice if so desired.
