REV. FRANK ROEBUCK Quietly, without a struggle, Frank Roebuck went home to be with his Saviour on Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg at the age of 88 years. Remaining to forever cherish Frank's memory are his beloved wife of 66 years of marriage, Mabel (nee Gruchy); son Don (Lois) of Richmond, Virginia, Ferne (Barry Thiessen) of Winnipeg, Weldon (Jenny) of Ottawa, Ernest (Holly) of Vankleek Hill, Ontario, Sharon (Peter Schulz) of Winnipeg; one daughterin-law, Bonnie Wheaton of Matlock, Manitoba; 21 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Florence Nolan of Glace Bay. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Kate Roebuck of Glace Bay; son Harold of Winnipeg; three sisters and one brother. Known in the Maritimes as a gifted evangelist, Frank had conducted campaigns throughout the Maritimes and the Gaspe. He served overseas during the Second World War and upon return he attended Mount Allison University, Sackville, New Brunswick and Pine Hill Divinity Hall in Halifax. Frank served over 43 years in the ministry in Collingwood and Advocate in Nova Scotia; Red Bank in New Brunswick, LaChute, Quebec and Peterborough and Toronto in Ontario. Frank's funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 20 at 2:00 p.m. in the Fort Richmond Baptist Church, 10 Radcliffe Road, Winnipeg. Interment will follow in Glen Lawn Cemetery. For those who wish viewing will be held prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Frank's memory to the Canadian Bible Society, 952 St. Mary's Road, Winnipeg, Manitoba R2M 3R8, or Siloam Mission, 300 Princess Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3B 1M3.
