Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLILY MUTH (nee HILLYARD) June 8, 1914 - March 15, 2007 It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Lily Muth on Thursday, March 15, 2007, at Concordia Hospital. Mom was predeceased by her husband Otto Muth in 1987; and her eldest daughter Myrna Dempsey in 1999. Mom passed away peacefully surrounded by family and love. Left to cherish Mom's memory are her children, Paul (Katherine), Marlene (Lloyd), Donna (Brian), Cheri (John); her grandchildren, Karen (Colin), Kim, Greg, Cynthia, Monique, Lisa (Reid), Michael, Allison and Greg; great-grandchildren, Devon, Simon, Queco, Chiadra, Hailey and Cedar; also numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Mom was born in Nelson, BC, and came to Winnipeg in 1937 after marrying Dad. In 1962 they moved to Florida but always came back to summer in Winnipeg. In 1968 they purchased a cottage at Falcon Lake and had many happy summers there with friends and family. In 1974 they moved to California but still summered at Falcon Lake. In 1986 they returned to Winnipeg for good and eventually sold the cottage. We all have very happy memories of the good times there. Mom made her final move to Independent Living at Donwood in 1998. There she made many friends and enjoyed many social activities. Mom was love and everyone who knew her did love her. She was kind, caring, and never said a mean word to or about anyone. We will all miss her deeply. A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, March 20 at 2:00 p.m. at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway. Many heartfelt thanks go out to Mom's homecare workers who took such good care of our Mom! Also thanks to all the staff on 3 East at Concordia Hospital for making Mom's final days so comfortable. They also took good care of us! Also a very special thank you to Dr. Kuegle for all his care and compassion.
