Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryED SETLAK Eddie passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital on March 13, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. His wife Evelyn, children Debbie (Steve) and Chico and sister, Janet, were at his side. Eddie Setlak was born April 14, 1939, in eastern Manitoba. Ed was predeceased by his father John. He is survived by his mother Helen; wife Evelyn; sister Janet (Dave); children, Debbie (Steve) and Eddie a.k.a. Chico; two grandchildren, Niasha and Adam; three stepsons, Glen, Gary and Grant. Eddie was born and raised on the farm in Hadashville. He worked many years driving truck and operating heavy equipment all over Manitoba, the work he loved. Eddie worked the last 11 years for Agra Foundations, where he made many close friends. He also enjoyed the company of his good friends at the Ukrainian National Home for many years. He loved visiting his property at St. Rita, where he was next door to his daughter and where he gardened and hung out with many friends. The family is so grateful for the great care Eddie got from the St. Boniface Palliative Care staff who soon became friends to Eddie and his family. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. #1 East at Navin Road. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery.
